Visa & Passport

Valid passports and an entry visa are essential. The existing tourism policy of Bhutan does not allow entry visa to be obtained from any Bhutanese embassies. In fact visa clearances are given by the Tourism Council of Bhutan only upon receipt of full advance tour payment before the final visa issuance by the Department of Immigration in Thimphu. Visas cannot be approved on arrival in Bhutan and therefore the approval must be obtained before departing for Bhutan. Your flight into Bhutan will not allow you to board their flight without prior visa clearance. At your port of entry your visa will be stamped in your passport.

Our company will obtain your visa within a maximum of four working days on condition you have transferred all your tour payments and also provided a scanned copy of your valid passport.
